My mom, Lila Dixon, volunteers her time doing community outreach with a group of African refugees in our home town of Colorado Springs. This holiday season she invited a group of people over to experience the joy of the season in her home. She explained the significance of many American traditions, and we were treated to a traditional African Christmas song!
