“We’re called to do little things with great love.”

Last Sunday, I had the wonderful opportunity to speak at the Baccalaureate service for Woodland Park High School. I prayed about it beforehand, and had decided to donate 100% of my honorarium to the Community Outreach program at Marian House. The day after my speaking event, I found out that a local woman had contacted Marian House in desperate need of money to help cover rent—otherwise, she was about to be evicted. I knew it was a “God-thing” when I heard it was the exact amount I donated via the money I received for speaking.

We are not called to do great things.  We’re called to do little things with great love.

-Mother Theresa

This notion of giving back and doing little things is quite easy to do. It provides you with immense strength and can become the foundation for your life. Aristotle sums it up when he said,  “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”
